“The Hangover 3″ is going to cost Warner Bros. a pretty penny

A third “Hangover” was rumored immediately after the latest sequel crossed the $200M mark (it topped out at $254.4M at the domestic box office). Not, it appears that if Warner Bros. wants the Wolf Pack back for another installment, they’ll have to pay top ldollar.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are negotiating for huge paydays to reprise their popular roles for a much-talked-about “Hangover 3,” and THR says they’re likely to get what they’re asking.

“Sources close to the negotiations say [the stars] are asking for $15 million each (against backend) to reprise their roles. … That’s a big raise from 2009’s ‘The Hangover,’ which was made for about $35 million and paid the headliners under $1 million each.”

The stars reportedly pocketed $5M each for “The Hangover: Part II,” but now that the comedy sequel broke the bank for WB (again), the studio’s planning on opening up its wallet.

“It’ll happen,” says one insider. “It’s a proven commodity, which is rare these days.”
